“You can terminate the service Classic VPS through the form available on the service card after login to the customer account where the server is registered. The service will be terminated on its expiration date (at the end of its prepaid period). In the overview of “”Servers and VPS”” select the one you want to terminate. On the service card you will find link “”Service cancellation””. Subsequently a notice form will be desplayed, in which you can state the reason of cancellation, expected date of termination etc. The service is usually terminated on the expiration date, ie at the end of the prepaid period. Here are two options of the termination: Choose this option only if you wish to terminate the whole service (i.e. webhosting and domain registration). If you choose this possibility, the service Package will be turned off on its expiration date and subsequently deleted from our servers. We will not notify you about the possibility to extend the domain´s registration before its expiration date. As soon as the domains´s protection period expires, the domain will be released for a new registration for other candidates. Coose this option if you wish to terminate only the webhosting, you want to keep the domain registered. If you choose this possibility, the webhosting for your domain will be turned off on its expiration date and subsequently deleted from our servers. The domain registered within the service Package remains registered. 30 days before its expiration date you receive an proforma invoice for the domain name renewal. The renewal will be done as soon as we receive your payment. Full cancellation of the webhosting (part of the service Package) will be done 60 days after its expiration date. During this period, it is possible to restore the webhosting separately – as an independent webhosting service. Please note that there is no possibility to renew the cancelled type of the service – Package.”

“For web and email functionality on your domain you generally need to set the following 3 DNS records: domain.tld A 81.2.19x.xxx (81.2.19x.xxx is an IP address of the web server) *.domain.tld CNAME domena.tld (instead of * (stars) can be written www) domain.tld MX 10 mxavas.forpsi.com For the service Package, we set these records ourselves. For all Packages (except of package EMAIL), the second level domain name (domain.tld) and subdomain www (www.domain.tld) should be directed at our webserver. We recommend not to change these records. For the Package EMAIL, it is recommended not to change or delete the MX records directed at our mail server. It is also possible to add and change the records with lower priority (higher number before the mailserver name). When a customer changes the DNS records, our company can not be liable for malfunction of the service Package.”

How are my server hosting data backed up?

“The backup procedure of a server’s data is decided by a customer either during an order or later on. We offer multiple options for data backup. In all the cases the customer is the one responsible for backing up his data on the provided space. The first option is a backup within the customer’s dedicated server using an additional hard drive. Server PROFI offers a multiple hard drive configuration in which one or multiple HDDs can be dedicated for backups. For example the customer’s configuration can be: Dedicated Server PROFI with three hard drives; the first two disks are in RAID 1 and the third disk is dedicated for backups. Another option is an additional service offering external disk space within the same datacenter. In this case the customer will include the required backup space in his order of a dedicated server. In most cases the server is connected to a backup space via a second 1Gbps port. Standard access protocols are FTP and SMB, NFS is also possible if requested. The third option is an external backup space in a different location. The backup is managed using the FORPSI Cloud platform and the customer can select any one of the 6 datacenters in the FORPSI Cloud network. Credit management, billing and configuration of backups are carried out through the Cloud administration, which is separate from the normal administration of dedicated servers. It is the most advanced form of data backup, using a backup agent running on the server, while the administration of tasks, plans and overview is managed by the customer through an easy-to-use web interface. On Windows it is also possible to use the Bare Metal Backup service, which creates a complete image of a server.”
